Kim + Jeff – A cozy hudson engagement portrait session

This beautiful Hudson engagement session was one of the most romantic and charming sessions we’ve done in a while! The session was set at Kim & Jeff’s lovely home & garden and surrounding areas here in Hudson Quebec. Planning this session came quite naturally for Kim! Complete with Champagne, marshmallow roasting, matching mugs with their initials on them, & a beautiful fire! Kim & Jeff snuggled up and got nice and cozy for us. Some couples need a little more guidance and direction, but not these two. As soon as we pointed our cameras at them, they just melted into each other as you can see! It was a pleasure!!

Eve + Zach – A sunny engagement on McGill campus

Eve and Zachary are two of the most easy going and pleasant couples we have the pleasure of photographing this year. Not only do we get the opportunity to photograph their wedding later this summer, but we also just had a blast with them on McGill’s Macdonald Campus here on the West Island. They met at McGill downtown so it was fitting place for their engagement photos. Armed with some cute props, we photographed them under beautiful blooming apple trees and surrounding areas. Marta & Greg – a romantic, day after photoshoot in Andrew Haydon Park

As promised, here is the day after photo session we did with Marta & Greg! Literally the day after their awesome wedding we headed out to a (Yummy) brunch at the Nepean Sailing Club in Ottawa. After filling our bellies with delicious Polish perogies, we walked over to Andrew Haydon Park next door to take some pictures. The sun gave us such pretty light to work with, and combine that with two beautiful people who are in love, and gorgeous scenery, we had the perfect recipe for these photos. Bich-Han + Louis-David – Engagement Session at Finnegan’s Flea Market

We are so fortunate to work with so many lovely people. People who are genuinely in love, who are kind and just a pleasure to get to know and be around. Bich-Han and Louis-David are those kind of people and we were so happy to have been able to take them to Finnegan’s Flea Market here in Montreal for a pre-wedding photo session! ( Bich-Han’s genius idea!)

We have never done a photo shoot here so were excited! We visit this flea market with our family during the summers and with all the beautiful artisan crafts, treats and antiques, it was the perfect setting for our wonderful couple. Walking around, while we were able to take some photos with Bich-Han and Louis-David, we also took in the sights and sampled some delicious food. We’ll be back in a very short while with photos from their wedding! But in the meantime here are our favourite photos from the flea market shoot! We can’t wait for your wedding.

Kelly + Chen – An elegant engagement in Montreal’s beautiful old port

Kelly and Chen came to visit Montreal for the first time and they absolutely love our city. It was also their first time having poutine (at La Banquise!!!) and of course…they loved it! They wanted to be captured in the most Montrealesque setting so we picked Montreal’s beautiful Old Port for their engagement photos! With an incredibly photogenic couple, a beautiful dress and gorgeous sunlight, it was hard not to take a pretty photo. Liz + Trevor – A Winter Engagement in Montreal

We were amazed at how Elizabeth and Trevor didn’t mind the cold. Their fingers were frozen, ears were cold but nothing stood between them and having their pre-wedding photos taken in the beautiful winter Montreal has to offer. We took them just off the island to the charming town of Hudson for their photoshoot. Yes, it was freeezing cold, but like I mentioned before, it really didn’t bother them in the least bit. It may sound cheesy but we honestly felt that Liz and Trevor’s love for each other was way more important than worrying about the cold. When they brought out their adorable pup Dutchess, she lost it in the snow! It was absolutely adorable and our hearts melted.

Elizabeth and Trevor, we can’t wait to photograph your wedding in Ottawa later on this year! We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them and spending the day with you.

Wendy + James – An Orchard First Wedding anniversary

Stars didn’t line up for us to photograph Wendy and James’ wedding last year unavailable for their wedding date last year, but that didn’t stop them from hiring us to take some photos on their first anniversary! Not only that, but they decided to get back in their wedding clothes for the occasion.

They had their first date at an apple orchard, so we planned the photo shoot at the beautiful Verger Labonte apple orchard just outside of Montreal. It really was something special. Wendy and James are head over heels in love with each other and it shows immediately. We had an absolute blast getting to know them, cracking jokes and just spending time with them made us feel like we’ve known them forever.

Wendy and James, we see how wonderful you are together and we wish for you to grow in your love every year! Thank you for choosing us for this special occasion.

Ivana + Phil – Engaged in the Old Port

The 2015 wedding season has officially begun and today we have a really cute engagement session to share with you! Ivana and Phil will be getting married very soon and before that happens, we took them out to the Old Port here in Montreal for a little casual photo session. Dressed the part, Ivana and Phil met us downtown and before we knew it, we were kicking it off like old friends and taking photos in between. I should mention that we met Ivana and Phil when Ivana was a bridesmaid at Catherine and Matthew’s wedding three years ago! We fondly remember Ivana being an incredibly positive and bubbly personality and we only hoped we would have a chance to photograph Ivana and Phil’s wedding. We can’t wait!

Meaghen + Marco – Engaged

As on-location, natural light photographers, we are bound to be faced with some less than fabulous weather once in a while. We get really sweaty and hot in the summer, we get wet when it rains and in this case, our fingers freeze to the bone in this crazy Canadian winter weather! But we really have to hand it to the wonderful couples we work with who brave rain, cold, heat and other poor weather situations just to make sure their photos turn our perfectly!

Meet Meaghen and Marco! A wonderful couple who we will get a chance to spend even more time with during their wedding this summer. We scheduled in an engagement session nearby in the woods but little did we know that it would be crazy crazy cold! No matter…Meaghen and Marco bravely hugged and smiled the entire time we spent with them. Both Magda and I were so thankful and in awe but it was obvious that their relationship distracted them from Old Man Winter! Maybe it has a little to do with Marco being a diehard Habs fan? Here are a few of our favourite images from that cold day and you’ll see more photos of Meaghen and Marco in the summer. Till then!
