It was a very intimate wedding held at the St. Sulpice Hotel in the heart of the Old Port. Despite the incredible cold, and I mean incredible cold, Kim and Marc embraced each other and let the magic happen while we took pictures. I bet you wouldn’t believe it felt like -20°C looking at these photos! To help keep Kim warm, she wrapped herself in a beautiful fur wrap and when it got super cold, they had a classic Hudson’s Bay Company blanket which could honestly warm an entire village.

Kim and Marc, thank you for having us along for your special day. It was a real pleasure getting to know the both of you, your families and it was an even bigger pleasure taking beautiful photos of the two of you in love. Based on what we’ve seen and hear about you two on your wedding day, it’s clear you will be together for a long time in amazing happiness. Where do I start? Perhaps I should start back at in 2012, when Magda and I were down south partying our butts off with Marie and Alex and their whole family at Steve and Stephanie’s wedding! It was an incredible week where we got to meet a whole lot of amazing people, including Marie and Alex.

Full of smiles, generosity and a lot of love, we fell in love with them and hoped that one day we would see everyone again at their wedding. And guess what? We finally DID this year!

Because Marie and Alex are so awesome and are surrounded by a million family and friends, they chose to do two weddings. One day for the closest friends and cousins and the second day for the whole family. We were there for the first beautiful and crazy day at Marché Bonsecours! The Old Port, as usual, provided for some gorgeous scenery but Marie and Alex had to work it a bit due to the blazing sun and a ton of tourists. However, as we expected, they were smiles throughout it all and it really paid off.

The party was an absolute blast! Marie and Alex were brought to tears numerous times during heart felt speeches by their best friends and surprise songs. We also haven’t seen a bride and groom dominate the dance floor so well as they did…we were highly impressed…but not surprised after getting to know them down in the Dominican!

If there is one thing we can take away from spending time with Marie and Alex, their friends and family, is a genuine love for life! Magda and I were absolutely thrilled to be a part of this day and we cannot thank them enough. I don’t have to tell you that it’s clear you have an incredible future together based on what we’ve seen so with that, we leave you with a slideshow and a few of our favourite images. Christine and Greg first met with us over Skype a while ago from Texas. Christine also being a photographer and both Greg and her being quite artistic people, we hit it off right away! Planning a wedding where all your guests are coming in from out of town can be difficult task. But as Christine and Greg found out, it can also be extremely exciting! Both living in Texas, their very original and artistic wedding was to be in Montreal.

We have never photographed at the boutique hotel Zero 1 in Montreal before and neither have we shot a wedding at the Tour de Levis tower, so this was quite a treat for us. All the details we so wonderfully chosen by Christine and Greg! From the beautiful bouquets, to the invites to just plainly having the reception in an old water tower! We had a lot of photo opportunities starting at the Old Port, continuing by the old silos and taking in some beautiful greenery on the island next the Tower.

Kat from Unikevent made sure that everything looked perfect, everything was on time and most importantly she made sure that everyone was having the time of their lives. Along with Christine and Greg, they all succeeded in making the day absolutely stunning even with a little rain!

Christine and Greg, thank you for trusting us across so many miles with capturing your special moments. We really really enjoyed spending time with you and getting to know you! Nina and Angelo are the sweetest couple we’ve recently had a chance to meet and work with. They are so innocently adorable it just makes our hearts warm looking at all the images we recently took with the at Montreal’s Atwater Market! A lot of photo sessions are taken at this popular market so Magda and I always really try to find new angles, compositions and ideas to give something fresh to our couples. This time we took photos at Nina’s uncle’s nice courtyard, some beautiful blooming trees and took them down to the little dock.

Nina and Angelo are tying the knot next year at the beautiful Mirage Golf Club and we can’t wait to experience the day with them! Until we have photos of Nina in her gown, here they are happy in love at the Atwater Market.

This wedding was so much fun for many many reasons! Firstly, Jen and Jon are amazing people and the four of us got along like old friends all day long. Jon and I meshed so well, I actually forgot I was a hired to be there a few times during the night! Secondly, the day was calm, relaxing, it rained a bit but we didn’t care and Jen and Jon being fabulous graphic designers, designed and created all their amazing stationary and decor! To top it off, our friend Azar of Principal Planner put the reception together so wonderfully at The Loft Hotel.

We’re just starting off the season but getting to spend time with people like Jen and Jon gives us so much joy to be doing this professionally. Thank you both, and thank you to your families for having us there during your special day! We have no doubt that you have a long and happy future ahead of you, so we wish you all the best and lots of love!

I’m not sure what’s more exciting to us. Having a couple connect with us after falling in love with our work? Or having the mother of the bride do the same? You know, I think these two things combined make us blush beyond words!

Before their wedding up in beautiful Mont-Tremblant, Karen and John wanted to have some casual photos done in the historic Old Port of Montreal. We of course obliged! The four of us strolled through the tourist central of Montreal one evening getting to know each other while stopping to take photos along the way. Seeing a couple in love that’s paired perfectly makes us very happy and that’s exactly what we found with Karen and John.

Here are a few of our favourite frames from the evening and we will be back in a few months with photos from their wedding in Tremblant! Can’t wait.

As usual, The Loft Hotel here in Montreal provided the perfect place for the wedding ceremony and reception. Aileen had some beautiful candles lining the ceremony aisle, the flowers were all done by Alain Simon Fleurs and the stunning cake by Luisa Galuppo Cakes.

We partied, we ate, we took beautiful photos of everything and we cannot be thankful enough for being a part of their day. Thank you Aileen and Hans for having us there to photograph your day and if your chemistry says anything about your future together, then you’ve got only joy and love to look forward to. Now that the weather’s finally starting to get warmer up here in Canada, we’re getting to use the outdoors again for photos! It’s been a cold and long winter and it’s still kind of chilly, but Aileen and Hans really wanted to get their pre-wedding photos done, so we headed to Montreal’s beautiful Old Port.

After meeting them nearly a year ago, we couldn’t wait to get to work with Aileen and Hans. They are absolutely adorable together, super positive and genuinely fun to hang out with! We spent the morning casually getting to know each other more while walking around the Old Port looking for nice places to take photos at. The Old Port is a very iconic and beautiful staple in Montreal so it’s no wonder a lot of our couples want their memories to be captured there. It is quite the tourist attraction which could make it a little tricky for a photographer to dodge everyone. So we always take it upon ourselves to work twice as hard to make it feel unique every time for our couples! This time, we found some beautiful courtyards, vines of lights, gorgeous empty old streets of Montreal and last but not least Hans brought along his second love…a 1974 Alfa Romeo, which just added to the photos. We have gotten a crazy amount of snow this year in Montreal and surrounding areas so when Joanne and Karim’s day came near, we thought it would quiet down for a while. Mother nature wasn’t done with the snow and decided to bless us with crazy winds and a ton more snow on their special day! Most people would say that it must have been difficult to shoot in such conditions but nothing could be further from the truth.

Firstly, Joanne and Karim and both their families invited us in to their lives with open arms, hugs and kisses and made us feel right at home. That alone makes our day exponentially more amazing but when it came time to brave the weather, Joanne wasn’t afraid to get out there in her gorgeous strapless dress and without a complaint, enjoy spending time in Karim’s arms…both full of smiles. Magda and I had such a blast finding angles shooting through the blizzard snow and on the rooftops of the famous Place d’Armes square. It really felt like we were capturing a winter dream for Joanne and Karim.

Being in the Place d’Armes square, you may have guessed that they got married in the back of the Notre-Dame Basilica in the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur Chapel. Both the Basilica and the Chapel are breathtaking in their own way and we always enjoy taking photos there.

We wrapped up the evening taking a few night time photos and then heading to SANTOS tapas bar for the reception just down the street. Bright red decor, chic lighting and staff in matching outfits made it a hit for all the guests. The evening was filled with delicious music, amazing drinks and even an amazing performance by Charlie from KO Entertainment on his traditional Derbake drum!

We would like to thank Joanne and Karim for trusting us to capture these memories for them and for treating us as friends from the start.
