Sometimes we meet a couple with a special connection to us, and this time Jessica and Greg were exactly that. When looking for wedding photographers, Greg’s mom was flipping through wedding magazines and liked the look of a photo gracing the cover of the Spring/Summer 2011 edition of the Ottawa Wedding Magazine. Greg and Jessica were intrigued and when we met, Greg realized we went to the same high school together and were just a year apart! I remember Greg running all sorts of events, clubs and being the go getting head boy of the school and he’s no different today! Both Jessica and Greg are wonderful, adventurous people. Travelling the world and doing good things for people, all we see is happiness down the line.

The wedding was in the beautiful Gatineau hills at Camp Fortune. This too is a near and dear place to us since Magda and I skied there while dating through high school! The chalet provided a beautiful and rustic setting for Jessica and Greg’s wedding. We leave you with our favourite moments and we thank you for choosing us to capture your special day. It’s quite rare that either Magda or I tear up during the exchange of vows, but when we do, it’s because it touched us. That was the case with Mai and Phil! Their story is an absolutely beautiful one of kindness, acceptance and most of all love and it truly touched us. The day was just as Mai and Phil had perfectly envisioned with everything taking place at the quaint Le Belvedere in the Laurentian hills in Wakefield. It may have rained a little bit in the afternoon, but Mai and Phil’s joy and happiness was so infectious, nothing would get in the way of their happy ending.

Mai and Phil, your love for each other and your little boy is truly inspirational and we wish you a lifetime of happiness. Here is a collection of our favourite moments from your special day. We hope you love them! xoxo, Bartek & Magda

Marta and Greg are very sweet, loving and caring people! And the chemistry between them was an absolute joy to witness throughout the day. In addition, it was very special for us because they got married at the same Polish church, in Ottawa as we did 12 years ago! We also took photos of them in the same spot as we had ours taken, in the Experimental Farm and Dominion Arboretum!

To top it all off, we got invited to the all you can eat Polish brunch the next day and did a little day after photoshoot at The Nepean Sailing Club, but those photos will come after! All in all, it was an absolutely fantastic weekend and we’d like to thank Marta and Greg for having us there to capture their love. We know you’ll have many beautiful years of happiness together and we hope you love these photos as much as we loved taking them.

This was our last wedding of the 2015 summer season and we could not have asked for a nicer couple for an amazing season finale! The weather was perfect, the guests were wonderful and really knew how to party! We were thrilled to see some familiar faces and made some new friends so I’m sure we’ll be seeing Sareda and Calvin at another party in the future. Sareda and Calvin were just as wonderful as we remembered them from their waterfront engagement session last year.

The ceremony was held at the beautiful Billing Bridge Estate. The historic building and picturesque grounds provided for sun kissed moments which we captured on our cameras. We couldn’t wait to head to the party since it was at the ever so popular Yangtze Restaurant in the heart of Ottawa’s Chinatown. As usual the delicious meals consisted of many traditional courses and every single one of them were just amazing! Then, as expected, the louder the music got, the more Ciroc bottles started popping and the dancing was out of this world! Calvin even had a GoPro mounted Ciroc bottle that was passed around on the dance floor making for some amazing footage.
