Recently, we had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Linh and Jamie on their wedding day. This was a special photoshoot, as we were only their for the portrait portion of the day, but as usual with our wonderful couples, it was a blast! It was extra special for us since Linh is the sister of one of our brides whom we photographed many many years ago, so it was a pleasure reconnecting throughout the day. The wedding took place at the wonderful Ritz Carlton here in downtown Montreal so we took the opportunity to do the photos in their courtyard, as well as along Sherbrooke Street. After having met Ivana and Phil on two occasions, we couldn’t wait for their wedding. We started the day just down the street from us and the ceremony was here at St. Joachim Parish on the West Island! From there, we took some beautiful photos of the bridal party near the water and continued downtown near the Ritz Carlton. I kept repeating myself during the day, but the day and light was absolutely wonderful for a wedding! Best of all, Ivana and Phil smiled all day long and simply enjoyed the festivities…and when a couple just let’s loose and enjoys without stressing…it puts a smile on everyones face, as you will see in the photos below.

Ivana and Phil, thank you for welcoming us with open arms and having us part of your party! From hanging out with the bridal party, to tearing it up on the dance floor to taking beautiful photos all day long, we can’t thank you enough. It really didn’t take long for us to fall in love with both Genevieve and Nikolas the first time we met over Skype. We meshed with them straight away and their sense of style, friendliness and knowing exactly what they wanted made our relationship with them that much more awesome.

They decided to tie the knot at the one and only Ritz Carlton here in Montreal. Newly renovated, but keeping the same charm it’s known for, it was the perfect match for Genevieve and Nikolas’ classy style. We spent a lot of time with them just wandering Sherbrooke Street looking for beautiful coves and places we haven’t yet noticed for our couples. The fact that the wedding was dedicated to only the closest family and friends meant that their day was to be very relaxed and all about them. In the words of their florist Alain Simon, “It was a small, big wedding!”. And so it was!

Beautifully and tastefully decorated with unbelievable orchids, the intimate rooms were a real pleasure for everyone involved. And later on, I have to say that some of the 200+ guest weddings we have seen don’t come close to how Genevieve and Nikolas’ guests danced the night away…

With that said, we leave you with a handful of our favourites. Also, Genevieve and Nikolas, we can’t thank you enough for having us be a part of this really special day! It’s clear you have something really beautiful between you which can only last a lifetime!

Being together for many many years already, having grown up kids and an already long and happy life together, they decided it was finally time to tie the knot! It really is something special to see two people with a very strong relationship want to take that extra step together.

Nathalie and Ron are two of the most sincere and genuinely caring people we have had the pleasure of meeting this year. Ron has a permanent smile on his face and Nathalie just wants to make everyone around her feel comfortable, and their love for each other and their family was incredibly touching. You could really see the bond they have for one another when they exchanged their vows and just through the little things they did throughout the day.

The always wonderful Selina put the wedding together at the stunning newly renovated Ritz-Carlton hotel here in Montreal. This being a very intimate evening soiree, the flowers, the food and the ambiance fit just right at the Ritz! It just recently re-opened after four years of renovation so if you are in the area, I highly recommend popping in to see this piece of history.

Nathalie and Ron, thank you for having us capture this very important day for you and your family. I would wish you a lifetime of happiness, but it’s already quite apparent that you already have one!
