After having met Ivana and Phil on two occasions, we couldn’t wait for their wedding. We started the day just down the street from us and the ceremony was here at St. Joachim Parish on the West Island! From there, we took some beautiful photos of the bridal party near the water and continued downtown near the Ritz Carlton. I kept repeating myself during the day, but the day and light was absolutely wonderful for a wedding! Best of all, Ivana and Phil smiled all day long and simply enjoyed the festivities…and when a couple just let’s loose and enjoys without stressing…it puts a smile on everyones face, as you will see in the photos below.

Ivana and Phil, thank you for welcoming us with open arms and having us part of your party! From hanging out with the bridal party, to tearing it up on the dance floor to taking beautiful photos all day long, we can’t thank you enough. Not to mention how obvious it was that they were perfect for each other, as soon as they came by to talk we knew they were a perfect match with us. Smiles from ear to ear, easy going, trusting us with our direction, these are things we love about our brides and grooms.

The wedding was held at the beautiful Eglise St-Germain in Outremont. Giant decorative windows allowed the summer sun to pour in and warm up both our photos and also literally the church! It was a hot day but everyone enjoyed it and not a single soul complained. The Forest and Stream Club on the West Island provided the most perfect lakeshore setting for the wedding reception. Complete with lake side hors d’oeuvres, delicious meals and a beautiful historic building.

Just as Catherine and Matthew had smiles from ear to ear when we first met them, we too had the same look on our faces while working with them on their wedding day. Actually, now that I think about it, pretty much every person beamed with happiness around them that day. From the moment we entered Catherine’s parent’s home to the hilarious moments we witnessed happening in front of the photobooth late in the evening.

Magda and I were thrilled to be a part of this day and we thank Catherine and Matthew for taking us along for the ride. We wish you lots of joy and happiness in your marriage…but we see that you’ve got it covered already.

When we arrived at both their beautiful family homes, Magda and I were both immediately welcomed in with warm hugs as though we have known everyone for years. It was a really sweet atmosphere because getting married at a similar age that we did, it reminded us of our own wedding and how we felt ten years ago. The anxious excitement and love between everyone in the morning was hard to ignore so when it came time to walk down the aisle, you can imagine the electricity in the air.

After a beautiful time taking photos at Cap St. Jacques Farm, we headed over to the reception. Tearful words were said and later on, people danced up a storm while also taking some crazy photo booth photos! We would like to thank Kim, Jason and both their families for having us there during the day. It was a real pleasure and we wish the newlyweds a beautiful life together!
