It is rare that a couple gets married and one of them haven’t met a good chunk of the other’s family. In Caroline and Derek’s case, their beautiful wedding day was not only happiness for the newlyweds tying the knot, but also witnessing a lot of their family members getting to know each other the first time! It was truly a wonderful thing seeing so many smiles, family members learning things about each other for the first time…and among it all, Caroline and Derek got married. Not just with one ceremony, but with two. Starting with the traditional, touching Vietnamese ceremony honouring their ancestors and concluding with the classic white dress and tux! The reception was held at Le Mont Blanc in Laval where the party and food was clearly enjoyed by everyone as one big, happy family!

Annie and Kien are two special people to us. Annie has been a long time fan of our work (x0x0!) and Kien’s family has been a part of our business for quite some time, for which we are extremely grateful! We have been very fortunate to have had the pleasure of being the photographers to two of Kien’s sisters and now we got to be a part of his and Annie’s very special day. Not only that, but Bartek and Kien worked together at Bartek’s first vfx film job here in Montreal! Time flies, it’s a small world and we love every bit of it.

The beautifully sunny day started with some familiar (but still crazy!) door games filled with silly moments and lot’s of laughs. Annie and Kien have been together for a long time, and through this time, their love for each other grew every day, which was quite apparent as soon as we started to see them though our lens. Surrounded by family and friends, Annie and Kien’s wedding took place at Le Carlton in Saint Leonard here in Montreal. And for the photos, we took them to a very classy location where we took every bit of sunlight and combined with the gorgeous scenery, captured Annie and Kien in their glowing and happy state.

Annie and Kien, thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding day. We have already had so many wonderful experiences together, but this day just added to it all. You have been together for a long time and as we already mentioned! Your love for each other is very obvious and we have no doubt you two will have a very happily ever after.

Well, that day just had to come didn’t it? That dreaded word came over the radio the day of Eve and Zach’s wedding…rain. We’ve been at it for many years and have quite a bit under our belts when it comes to dealing with a rainy day, but it must be worrisome for the couple and their families. Not Eve and Zach, however! They took the day by the horns and made it beautiful no matter the rain. And so it really was. Super relaxed, happy to be with each other, Eve and Zach got married and everyone had an absolute time of their lives. The cherry on top for us, was how wonderful it was that Eve and Zach were cool with every idea we had and the result is below. We absolutely adore it when our couples are awesome to work with, so thank you guys! We told you braving the rain would be worth it!

The wedding was held at the gorgeous Place d’Armes Hotel in the Old Port of Montreal. Everything from the Ketubah, to the touching Jewish wedding ceremony, to the Hora and finally the off the wall party, everyone had an incredible amount of fun and love in their hearts. Su-Lin and Jeff’s wedding was a beautiful mid-day event. It was a brunch wedding at the one and only Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto. Once a residence, this 1936 mansion was the perfect setting for Su-Lin’s impeccable style and elegance. I want to say that it was both Su-Lin and Jeff’s creative input that made this all happen…but guys, we all know who was in charge! Orchestrated to a tee by Laura Olsen, of Laura Olsen Events, this sunny day played out exactly as everyone hoped it would. Complete with their little pup, we spent a lovely day capturing moments of Su-Lin and Jeff in all of Graydon Hall’s beautiful corners and gardens. There were a lot moments, however, where both we and Su-Lin and Jeff broke down in laughter from someone’s horrible joke which was a welcome theme all four of us absolutely loved.

Sometimes we meet a couple with a special connection to us, and this time Jessica and Greg were exactly that. When looking for wedding photographers, Greg’s mom was flipping through wedding magazines and liked the look of a photo gracing the cover of the Spring/Summer 2011 edition of the Ottawa Wedding Magazine. Greg and Jessica were intrigued and when we met, Greg realized we went to the same high school together and were just a year apart! I remember Greg running all sorts of events, clubs and being the go getting head boy of the school and he’s no different today! Both Jessica and Greg are wonderful, adventurous people. Travelling the world and doing good things for people, all we see is happiness down the line.

The wedding was in the beautiful Gatineau hills at Camp Fortune. This too is a near and dear place to us since Magda and I skied there while dating through high school! The chalet provided a beautiful and rustic setting for Jessica and Greg’s wedding. We leave you with our favourite moments and we thank you for choosing us to capture your special day. Recently, we had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Linh and Jamie on their wedding day. This was a special photoshoot, as we were only their for the portrait portion of the day, but as usual with our wonderful couples, it was a blast! It was extra special for us since Linh is the sister of one of our brides whom we photographed many many years ago, so it was a pleasure reconnecting throughout the day. The wedding took place at the wonderful Ritz Carlton here in downtown Montreal so we took the opportunity to do the photos in their courtyard, as well as along Sherbrooke Street. It was a freezing fall day here in Montreal on the day of Isabel and Andrew’s wedding. However, one look at the newly wed couple and everyone couldn’t help but feel a little warmer inside!

Isabel and Andrew’s wedding was our final wedding of the 2016 season, we couldn’t wait for their big day. The wedding ceremony and reception was at the Omni hotel on Sherbrooke Street downtown in Montreal and we took some lovely (albeit cold!) photos just down the street on McGill’s campus. With golden leaves and beautiful buildings, we had the perfect set for Isabel and Andrew’s photos! Like I said, even though it was cold and windy, everyone was a great sport and as I told them…it will be worth it!

Where can I start about Bich-Han and Louis-David? Perhaps I’ll start and summarize them as wonderful and genuinely nice & super fun people! After getting to know them many years ago, and finding out we might be their photographers sometime in the future, we couldn’t wait for their wedding once we got the call! We started off with an engagement session late summer this year, and we all just clicked, and here we are featuring their beautiful wedding which we were really happy to be a part of! The fall wedding took place at the Domaine de Lavoie winery and cider mill. The setting provided beautiful rolling hills, golden fall colors and all the yummy locally produced wine the guests could have asked for. Not only did we get a chance to hang out with Bich and Louis, but we got to catch up with some wonderful couples we’ve worked with in the past like Stephanie & Steve and Marie & Alex!

As expected from Bich and Louis’ personality and friends, the party was off the hook. With gorgeous decor from Elyna Kudish from Unity Weddings complementing the fall scenery, it was the perfect day. We are so excited to share these photos with you guys and cannot wait for dinner at Satay brothers! Thank you for choosing us to capture your special day!
