Claudia and Simon waited a long time for this day and it finally happened! We met these two quite a while ago at one of the first weddings we shot (Paula and Nemr). We are really blessed to have all these amazing clients all the time! We really feel like we are part of the wedding, instead of just vendors… Thanks to all our amazing brides and grooms! :)
Just two weeks before their big day we did a fabulous engagement photoshoot with Claudia and Simon , if you haven’t seen it check it out here. They showed us how they can rock it out infront of the camera and got us even more excited for their big day!
The day was fantastic. Claudia loves Montreal’s downtown and urban architecture so we started the photosession over at the incredible Windsor Station which was bult in 1887!!! It offers a really grand and classy setting which went perfectly with Claudia and Simon’s style. We then headed over to a few interesting locations around the upper downtown streets and eventually ended up at another historic place in Montreal… This time we added a little bit of greenery to the shoot by visiting the Westmount Conservatory and Greenhouse which houses beautiful plants all year round and of course has stunning architecture as it was built it the 1920′s. ( Looove that era!)
The night ended off at the Embassy Plaza Reception hall in Laval and the decor and party was ah-mazing!! Thank you for the wonderful day, we had a blast capturing your day and you two rocked it out! Oh and we were treated by having our good friend and talented photographer Jesse Bachmann be a third shooter during the day which made the day even more awesome.
Here are our favourites from the day:
Claudia getting her princess gown on!
Simon, preparing for the big day
It’s funny because in practically every wedding we do, the guys are done getting ready way ahead of time and have some time to relax :)
After the boys were done their thing, we had a bit of time to take a few shots in the parking lot:
The big moment…
Then we took the bridal party over to Windsor Station in downtown Montreal for some shots:
The gorgeous girls:
And the dapper guys :)
After that we broke off with the newlyweds and hit the town for some more photo opportunities!
We love these hearts in front of the Musee des Beaux Arts
Then we headed to the stunning building of the Westmount Conservatory/Greenhouse
Love it!
It was getting really dark but we quickly took a shot of Simon backlit with the streetlight and loved it! (for your techies: 5DmkII, 50mm, f1.2, 1/80s, iso3200)
And finally the super duper awesome reception!!! Claudia and Simon entered and got right down into a really amazing arabic dance:
