Dylan | Montreal Baby Photographer

montreal baby photographer

Here’s little Dylan! Our good friends Sabrina and Alan just added a new member to their family and Magda was honoured to come and take some photos of this beautiful baby boy recently. Full of energy and really really wanting to get up, move, and explore the world, Dylan posed like a champ! I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for these little humans to be moved around and placed in strange ways, but Dylan being the curious little boy, he didn’t have time for any tears. And if you’re wondering why the guitar…well, his dad is a bona fide and awesome artist!

We can’t wait to see him grow up and be a little part of his life! Auntie Magda loves you. xox.

Becky + Michael | Ottawa lifestyle photo session

We love dogs. So when Becky and Michael said they would be bringing their little pups to the pre-wedding lifestyle shoot, we couldn’t wait to meet them! Coco and Elmo are Becky and Michael’s little babies since before they met and now that they’re together, they made an adorable little family of four out of it.

Having not shot an engagement session in Ottawa in a while, Magda and I were really excited to make use of some new scenery. This time Becky found a the beautiful National Capital Equestrian Park in Ottawa where we enjoyed some good conversation along with taking photos in absolutely beautiful sunset light. Becky is adorable because she brought not only a change of clothing but also bikes, a little picnic and of course the pups.

Here are some frames from the evening’s photo session. Later on in the fall we will be posting photos from their traditional Chinese wedding for which we can’t wait! Coco and Elmo will be the flower pups!

Christina + Nicolas | a wedding at golf le mirage

Our history with Christina and Nick goes back to our very beginnings as wedding photographers. Christina is the niece of Dave who along side of Jessica, were our first ever professional photo shoot! Our style has changed significantly since then, but it’s really nice to go back and see how it all started. It’s hard to believe it’s already been 6 or so years since that photo session in the Old Port, but here we are today with Dave’s niece getting married to an amazing gentleman by the name of Nicolas.

We also had the pleasure of taking Christina and Nick on a romantic pre-wedding shoot last year where they we’re afraid to get their feet wet…literally!

Both with very large families and a lot of culture, we knew the wedding was going to be beautiful and filled with energy. The reception was held at Golf le Mirage, which was the perfect location for an outdoor cocktail and an amazing party indoors. Complete with a little bit of dabke dancing, an entertainer keeping the beat on a durbakke drum, everyone had a fantastic time.

Christina and Nick, thank you for having us capture your intimate and beautiful ceremony! You two are clearly meant for each other with many many happy years ahead of you. Here are our favourite images from your wedding day…

Nicolas + Christina - These pictures are beautiful and so meaningful…

Thank you for capturing these special moments for us! Everything came back to life as we went through all of these.
Thank you for all your help and guidance throughout this whole process. We can’t say it enough!

Nancy + Greg | A cottage Engagement Session

Nancy and Greg had an idea. Instead of going somewhere to a field, or Old Port let’s head out north to Greg’s family’s cottage for their pre-wedding photos!

After an hour and a bit of driving through zig zagging roads, flying at high speeds (looking’ at you Greg!) we arrived at a the beautiful and homey cottage overseeing a gorgeous and calm lake. It was honestly the perfect setting to take their relaxed photos. I mean, of course the scenery was beautiful, but the fact that so much family history is baked into the place made the experience that much more special.

We laughed, we drank some wine, we took some photos and Nancy and Greg finally jumped into the lake fully clothed. It was a blast photographing this romantic session with these fabulous people and we can’t wait to do it again at their wedding. Here are our favourite images from the evening, enjoy!

Ashley + Damian | a wedding at Watson’s Mill in Ottawa

Planning a wedding at a venue that’s out a rural area and isn’t air conditioned can be a risk. But Ashley was willing to take it, and boy did it pay off! Ashley and Damian planned their beautiful reception at the historic Watson’s Mill in Manotick, Ontario. It’s a museum filled with history, mystery and the 1860′s stone building provided the perfect setting for Ashley and Damian’s theme. Ashley decorated the place with her DIY country decor and turned the museum into her dream ball.

The day couldn’t have been more perfect in terms of weather. A very mild warm summer’s day with a breeze kept everyone cool and happy! The wedding took place in the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Ottawa and then we all took a bus out to Manotick where we pit stopped to take photos along the way. It’s quite rare for us to make a stop at the Mill St. Brew Pub for a beer and snacks with the bridal party…but no one’s complaining! Damian and his family being Polish only added to the fun for us as we got a chance to mingle with his family all day!

Ashley, thank you so much for making us first on your mind right after getting engaged to Damian! Hearing things like that just warms our hearts and pushes us to be even better artists. And finally, we wish you both the absolute best that life has to offer and thank you for having us there to capture the day.

Here are our favourite images from the day and of course, be sure to watch the slideshow as well!
