We first met Becky and Michael when we went down to Ottawa for their engagement session. We were already looking forward to meeting them after getting to know them over Skype but little did we know how adorable they are as a couple in person! We spent the evening hanging out and photographing them and their two beautiful little puppies, but the day we all were looking forward to was their big wedding! It finally came.
Chinese weddings are extra special because they add a lot of beautiful traditions. Honouring their ancestors during the tea ceremonies, exchanging gifts and wishes with their close relatives and wearing beautifully coloured traditional clothing are only some of the things we get to photograph. During Becky and Michael’s wedding we witnessed some really beautiful moments between their aunts, uncles and grandparents and it really was tough holding back tears as we watched them get married!
The wedding itself was really beautiful. Becky is very detail oriented and planned out the day exactly as she had imagined! Cool socks for the groomsmen, matching light pink dresses for the girls, and of course, their two puppies also walked down the isle!
We took photos in some really beautiful rural areas just outside of Ottawa which we are going to share with you below! Becky and Michael, thank you for having us there to photograph all the beautiful and touching moments.
