Lindsay + Harley | Un mariage chez le Loft

We first met Lindsay and Harley over Skype a year ago and immediately knew we were the right fit for each other. They are both so open, enthusiastic, easy going and so full of life and trusted our every move. Like us, both of them are entrepreneurs as well! Harley runs a mega online store service Shopify which you most definitely heard of and Lindsay has a huge passion for food and writes about it, all over the internet. Oh, and just like we used to live in Ottawa, they live there now!!

Finally, it was time to get married. As expected, The Loft Hotel provided a beautiful setting for both the Chuppah to get married under and the off the hook party complete with a choreographed flash mob dance by the bridal party.

Not much else can be said about Lindsay and Harley’s family except that they are a genuine and loving bunch. Both sides accepted us into the day as though we were a part of it from the very first moment of planning. It was an absolutely beautiful day which couldn’t have been planned better. Lindsay, Harley, thank you so much for having us be there with you! We can tell you have something special between each other and wish you the best life has to offer.

Nancy + Greg | The Loft Hotel, Montreal

Nancy and Greg have been so good to us, they feel like old friends. We first had the pleasure of meeting them when they took us to the middle of nowhere in the laurentians for their engagement photos. It may have been the middle of nowhere but boy was it worth it! Not only did we have Greg’s family’s beautiful waterfront cottage to work with but Nancy and Greg welcomed us with open arms and smiles like they’ve known us forever. Needless to say Magda and I couldn’t wait for their wedding to arrive!

Just as Nancy and Greg are naturally loving people, so are their families. The day was filled with love, laughter and a lot of emotion which ran around capturing all day long. The Loft Hotel provided a beautiful chic background to their wedding ceremony under the chuppah. We felt right at home the entire day and we couldn’t be more thankful for being chosen to photograph their special day.

Liz + Jamison – A Gatineau Hills Wedding

Based on how much thought and love went into planning this wedding, it seems as though Liz and her mom had been planning the details since she and Jamison met! We met Liz around the time we first booked Meaghan and Martin, their good friends. Since then, we’ve been in touch about all the beautiful touches and ideas Liz had for her wedding up at her family’s home in Chelsea, Gatineau.

The colours of the trees and weather turned out to be phenomenal. Liz’s bouquet matched the surrounding leaves and all the decor her mom had prepared around the house felt like it was part of the surrounding nature!

The ceremony took place in the backyard under a tent and we took them for some photos at a nearby barn and surrounding areas. We headed down to the reception at the Rideau Club of Ottawa overlooking downtown and the Parliament!

Taking photos and spending the day with with Liz and Jamison was an absolute pleasure. Liz puts an incredible amount of love into everything she does. From small things like the details in her wedding, to big things like her relationship with Jamison! Based on all the beautiful things said by their family and friends at the wedding, they have something truly special and we couldn’t be happier for them!

Thuy-Lan + Scott | Lion d’Or Wedding in Montreal

Having never photographed a wedding at the Cabaret Lion d’Or before, Magda and I were really looking forward to it! Picture a very moody, traditional cabaret styled venue where people come to see beautiful performances performed on a red curtain stage. That’s exactly where Thuy-Lan and Scott decided to get married in. Not big fans of common wedding themes, they definitely chose the perfect place for them.

We started the wedding day with a few traditional Vietnamese tea ceremonies which are always a treat for us. Due to the many family members in a tiny room, they challenge us as photographers but they’re always filled with colour and emotion! And before we headed to the ceremony in the amazing cabaret hall, I got a chance to hang out with the guys at the Atwater Market enjoying some Satay Brothers while Magda took photos with Thuy-Lan as she got ready for the big day.

As expected, the atmosphere was amazing at the Lion d’Or. The lighting and setting was really something quite unique for us and we were able to get really nice and creative! Thuy-Lan, Scott and everyone else who said a speech really touched everyone at the reception! The connections between the two of them and within their families were really apparent and matched the ambiance.
